Meet the cast!
Looking for a canine actor?
From photoshoots to music videos to theatrical productions, DarkWood Dog Training can meet your entertainment industry needs! We have experienced canines that love to strut their stuff for the public.
Our program is set up so that the "actors" are trained by us, and then find forever Guardian Homes* where they reside while not on the job. This way, they get to live as a part of a family that revolves around them on their "off" time.
Each of our canine actors are able to provide you with a variety of behaviors and are capable of learning additional desired behaviors rapidly. From going "potty" on an innocent bystander to locking car doors to chasing after the bad guy; we've got you covered.

Basco
Basco is a German Shorthaired Pointer and resides here at DarkWood. He is trained in everything from agility, to obedience, to search and rescue, and even bites on command. He has photoshoot as well as video work experience. He's very quick to learn new behaviors and loves a challenge. He brings his enthusiasm for life and love of everything to all of his roles.
Here is Basco in Craig Morgan's latest music video for "This Ole Boy". He had to crawl, bark on command, chase, bring objects, give kisses, lock a car door, swim, etc for the shoot. We had a blast and love the finished product!
Toto
Toto is a Cairn Terrier Mix that is enrolled in our Guardian Home program! He is available for Toto roles or any other type of media job. He is great with kids, very laid back, responds to hand signals as well as line cues. This past fall he was in Hume-Fogg Academy's production of "The Wizard of Oz" and did a great job.
